Re-granulating plant - alesco recycles film in its own re-granulating plant

During production, film remnants are continuously being created, which can then be recycled: edge-trimmings created when rolls are cut to width, scrap produced by extruders on start-up and misprints caused when setting up print machinery. Also, occasionally, film is no longer needed and is returned to us by our customers.

We, at alesco, have installed our own re-granulating plant to handle these film remnants. The equipment is able to use scrap film of any type or film returned to us to make high-quality granulate, which can be fed into the production process in small amounts, without any negative effect on product quality. The integration of this re-granulating machinery into the Langerwehe production facility even allows us, by means of a recycling network, to carry out the fully-automated re-granulating of edge-trimmings cut from our film on exit from the extruder.

These recycling methods not only cut down on the amount of raw material used, they avoid the need to transport film remnants to external processing facilities.
